God’s Concern for His Holy Name (Ezekiel 36)

This week's passage includes the strongest messianic prophesy pointing to Jesus in the book of Ezekiel. We see a contrast between the corrupt actions of the leaders of Israel with the promised shepherd-leader in the lineage of David.

God’s Patience with Israel (Ezekiel 20)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. The last three weeks we have seen the judgment of God upon Israel. This week, we see how God dealt with the Hebrew people through their history. Even though they rebelled against him, he restrained or delayed his wrath out of his patience and mercy.

Israel’s Idolatry(Ezekiel 8-11)

Stillness and Stuckness

This week, Michael Thornhill delivers the message at Restoration Community Church. Michael is the Director of DEI at Venture Outdoors. He shares about the experience of Elijah, in between his two mountaintop experiences of the defeat of the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel and his journey to God in the chariot of fire, Elijah is in a period of deep depression. Michael shares how God cares for his physical and emotional needs by slowing him down and reminding Elijah that he is not alone.

The Tapestry - The Sacrifice of Isaac (Genesis 22)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues our walk through the narrative portions of Scripture. We are currently in a multi-week focus on Abram (later renamed Abraham). Sometime following the birth of Isaac, Abraham is asked to do the unthinkable and offer his son as a sacrifice to the Lord. This week we looked at this event and the question God was asking "Are you willing to give up what you cherish most for me?"

The Tapestry - The Birth of Isaac Foretold and Fulfilled (Genesis 17-18)

This week we see, after 24 years, God's promise that Abraham would have a child of the covenant, finally fulfilled.
