The Vision of the New Temple (Ezekiel 40-48)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church concludes an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. This week we sketch out the final 9 chapters in Ezekiel which provides a vision of a new temple, with a return of the glory of God. Reading for a few excerpts in that section, we see the hope and restoration that God will bring in his coming kingdom.

The Valley of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. This week we investigate the vision of the valley of dry bones. This is the story that inspired the 1920's spiritual, "Dem Bones." We will see God's willingness to enter places of death and bring life and flourishing to them.

God’s Concern for His Holy Name (Ezekiel 36)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. This week we see the restoration and "heart surgery" that the Lord commits to his people. God is motivated through the concern for his name to continue to show mercy and bring healing and reconciliation to his people.

Woe to the Shepherds of Israel (Ezekiel 34)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. This week's passage includes the strongest messianic prophesy pointing to Jesus in the book of Ezekiel. We see a contrast between the corrupt actions of the leaders of Israel with the promised shepherd-leader in the lineage of David.

God’s Patience with Israel (Ezekiel 20)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. The last three weeks we have seen the judgment of God upon Israel. This week, we see how God dealt with the Hebrew people through their history. Even though they rebelled against him, he restrained or delayed his wrath out of his patience and mercy.

Israel’s Idolatry(Ezekiel 8-11)

Pastor Chris Ansell of Restoration Community Church continues an 8-week foray into the prophet Ezekiel. This week, we saw clear expressions of Israel's unfaithfulness to God. The story ends in tragedy, with God's glory and presence leaving the temple and Jerusalem.
